Kai auditioned in Louisville. She sang "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran and a modified version of "My Girl" by The Temptations. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Kai was shown in the third part of Hollywood Week, singing "Lost Without You" by Freya Ridings for her final solo performance. She was placed in the first deliberation room, along with Uché, Johanna Jones, Laci Kaye Booth, Alejandro Aranda, Nick Townsend, Laine Hardy, Walker Burroughs, Margie Mays, Shayy, Drake McCain, Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon, Ryan Hammond, Evelyn Cormier, and Madison Vandenburg. It was revealed that everyone in the room advanced.

Kai sang "Wild Things" by Alessia Cara. Afterwards, the judges told her that she did not make the Top 20 and she was eliminated.
