Audition[]
Emmanuel audition in San Francisco. He sang "I Believe in You in Me" by Whitney Houston. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Emmanuel was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week. He sang "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" by Jennifer Holliday. Later on, he was shown in a group called "Love's Angels" with Carmen Delgina and Terrica Curry singing "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child. He was the only member of his group to advance. For his final solo performance, he sang "I'm Goin' Down" by Mary J. Blige. At the Final Judgment, the judges told him he did enough to become a Top 30 finalist.

Emmanuel was chosen by the judges to sing during Rush Week. He sang "Best of My Love" by The Emotions. He did not receive enough votes to place among the five men with the highest votes nor was he selected by the judges to participate as a Wild-Card, eliminating him from the competition.
