Eben Franckewitz (born June 13th, 1996) was a contestant on Season 11 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Eben auditioned in Pittsburgh. He sang "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Eben was shown in a group called "Hollywood Five" with Jeremy Rosado, David Leathers, Jr., Ariel Sprague and Gabi Carrubba singing "Mercy" by Duffy. Everyone in their group advanced and after his untelevised final solo performance, he was placed in the second deliberation room along with Phillip Phillips, Skylar Laine, Shannon Magrane, Jeremy Rosado, Reed Grimm and Jessica Phillips where it was revealed that everyone had advanced.
Las Vegas Round[]
Eben was shown in a group with Reed Grimm, Elise Testone and Haley Johnson singing "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes" by Bobby Vee. Everyone in their group advanced.
For his final solo performance, he sang "You Are So Beautiful" by Joe Cocker. At the Final Judgment, he was called up along with David Leathers, Jr.. The judges told him that he had made the Top 24 and David was eliminated.
Top 25[]
Eben sang "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele. He was eliminated at this stage of the competition.
