Douglas auditioned in Austin. He sang "Strange Fruit" by Billie Holiday. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Douglas was shown in the "Pop" category of the Genre Challenge, in a group with Jacob Moran, Danielle Clavell and Nicolina. He was later shown in a duet with Scarlet called "Mixed Match", singing "Rewrite the Stars" by Zac Efron and Zendaya. Despite an overall poor performance, both contestants advanced. After his untelevised final solo performance, he was shown in a montage of contestants who were eliminated at the judges deliberation.
