Diana Ernestine Ross (born March 26th, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter, actress and record producer. She first rose to fame as the lead singer of The Supremes, which became the best charted girl group in history, with a record-setting twelve number one hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100. Her solo career was also highly successful, having six No. 1 Pop hits, including her duet "Endless Love" with Lionel Richie.
He served as a mentor during the Top 12 week on Season 6 of American Idol.
