Dennis Lorenzo (born April 4, 1991) was a contestant on Season 16 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Dennis auditioned in Los Angeles. He sang "Unaware" by Allen Stone. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Dennis was shown in an unknown Group of Ten singing "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran. He advanced and was later seen in a group called "Superdope Hotness" along with Milo Sposato, William Casanova, Aname' Rose and Deonte Baker singing "Love Yourself" by Justin Bieber. Everyone in his group advanced. He was also shown in the Solo Round singing "Home" by Daughtry. Afterwards, he was placed in the same holding room as Catie Turner, Maddie Zahm, Trevor McBane, Jurnee, Christina Jones, Amalia Watty, Marcio Donaldson, Victoria McQueen, Dominique and Cade Foehner and it was revealed at everyone in their room had advanced. During Showcase Round, he sang "A Song for You" by Leon Russell. At the Final Judgment, he was called up along with Marcio Donaldson and the judges told both of them that they advanced to the Top 24.

Top 24[]

Dennis was shown in Group 1. He sang "Rude" by MAGIC! and "Unaware" by Allen Stone in a duet with Stone. The judges felt he was good enough to become a Top 14 finalist.

Top 14[]

Dennis sang "In My Blood" by Shawn Mendes for the Live Show and "This Woman's Work" by Maxwell for the Results Show. Although not placed in the Top 6 in voting for that week, the judges selected him to become a Top 10 finalist.

Top 10[]

Dennis sang "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" by Elton John from the film The Lion King. He was eliminated at this stage of the competition.
