Cynthia Chinasaokwu O. Erivo (born January 8, 1987) is a British actress, singer and songwriter. She is most well-known for her Tony Award-winning performance of Celie in the 2015 Broadway revival of The Color Purple and her Academy Award-nominated performance as Harriet Tubman in Harriet.
