Colby Swift was a contestant in Season 17 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Colby auditioned in Louisville. He sang "Cast No Stones" by Cody Jinks. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Colby was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week, in the same Group of Ten as Shawn Robinson, Dalton Elliott, and Katie Belle. He sang "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" by Freddy Fender. He advanced and was shown in a group called "Diamond Dixies" along with Katie Belle, Laci Kaye Booth, and Laine Hardy singing "Grenade" by Bruno Mars. Probably because he forgot his lyrics, Colby was the only member of his group to be eliminated.
