Clint Jun Gamboa (born June 9th, 1984) was a contestant on Season 10 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Clint auditioned in San Francisco. He sang "Billionaire" by Bruno Mars. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Clint was shown in a montage of contestants who survived the first round of Hollywood Week. He was later shown in a group called "The Guaps" with Scotty McCreery, Frances Coontz and Monique De Los Santos singing "Get Ready" by The Temptations. He was shown in the third part of Hollywood Week singing "Georgia on My Mind" by Ray Charles. He was placed in the first deliberation room along with Ashley Sullivan, Brett Loewenstern, Jacee Badeaux, Casey Abrams, James Durbin, Chris Medina, Robbie Rosen and Lauren Alaina amongst others. Everyone in his room advanced.

Las Vegas Round[]

In Las Vegas, Clint was shown singing "Help" with someone. He advanced.

Back in Hollywood, he sang "Hello" by Lionel Richie for his final performance. Afterwards, the judges told him he did enough to advance to the Top 24.

Top 24[]

Clint sang "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder. He was eliminated at this stage of the competition.

Trivia[]

  • Throughout the competition, he sometimes went by the nickname "Jun-Bug".
  • Prior to auditioning for American Idol, Clint participated in the soundtrack of the cult classic 2002 film The Room as the writer/performer of the songs "Baby You and Me" and "Crazy".
