Chayce Beckham (born July 16, 1996)[1][2] was a contestant on Season 19 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Chayce auditioned in Los Angeles. He sang "What Brings Life Also Kills" by Kolton Moore & The Clever Few. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Chayce was shown in the "Country" category of the Genre Challenge, alongside Christian McGuckin and James Perdue. He was later shown in a duet with Christina Daugherty called "Chasin Red" singing "July" by Noah Cyrus. He advanced but Christina did not. During the Showstoppers Round, he sang "You Should Probably Leave" by Chris Stapleton. Afterwards, during the Final Judgment, the judges told him that he did enough to become a Top 24 semifinalist.

Chayce sang "Afterglow" by Ed Sheeran and "Drive" by Incubus in a duet with Brandon Boyd. He received enough votes to be considered "safe".

Chayce sang "Waiting in Vain" by Bob Marley & The Wailers. He received enough votes to become a Top 12 finalist. To celebrate, he sang "What Brings Life Also Kills" by Kolton Moore & The Clever Few.
Top 12[]
Chayce sang "(Everything I Do) I Do it For You" by Bryan Adams (from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves). He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.
Top 10[]
Chayce sang "Baby Mine" by Betty Noyes (from Dumbo). He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.
Top 7[]
Chayce sang "Magic" by Coldplay and an original song called "Mama". He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.
Top 4[]
Chayce sang "Colder Weather" by Zac Brown Band, "23", a reprise of "You Should Probably Leave" by Chris Stapleton and "Break My Heart Again" by FINNEAS in a duet with Casey Bishop. He received enough votes to advance to the Finale.
Season 19 Finale[]
Chayce sang "Blackbird" by The Beatles, "Fire Away" by Chris Stapleton and "Afterglow" by Ed Sheeran. He received more votes than Grace Kinstler and Willie Spence, making him the American Idol.
Trivia[]
- Chayce is the second contestant to have the name "C. Beckham" to make it to the Finale, after Clark Beckham.
- Chayce appeared as a mentor during Season 20's Hollywood Round, and gave a performance of "23" for the contestants.
