Carmen Rasmusen (born March 25th, 1985) was a contestant on Season 2 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Carmen's audition was not initially televised, but was shown during American Idol Rewind. She auditioned in Los Angeles and sang "I Want To Be A Cowboy's Sweetheart" by Patsy Montana and "Blue" by LeAnn Rimes. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Carmen's stay in Hollywood was not televised much but she did not make the Top 32. Carmen was cut during group round, you can see her standing behind Ammee Pinna during the group round eliminations. Despite this, she was selected to compete in the Wild-Card round.
Wild-Card[]
On the Wild-Card show, she sang "Can't Fight the Moonlight" by LeAnn Rimes. Simon Cowell selected her to advance to the Top 12.
Top 12[]
Carmen sang "You Can't Hurry Love" by The Supremes. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 11[]
Carmen sang "Hopelessly Devoted to You" by Olivia Newton-John. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 10[]
Carmen sang "Wild Angels" by Martina McBride. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 8 (Week 1)[]
Carmen sang "Turn the Beat Around" by Vicki Sue Robinson. She was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week.
Top 8 (Week 2)[]
Carmen sang "Call Me" by Blondie. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Carmen sang "And So It Goes" by Billy Joel. She was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week.
Top 6[]
Carmen sang "Love Will Lead You Back" by Taylor Dayne. She was eliminated at this stage of the competition.
