American Idol Wiki

Camila Galavis (born February 14, 2009)[1][2] was a contestant on Season 22 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Camila auditioned in Santa Barbara. She sang "Rabia" by Joaquina. Although Lionel voted "no", Katy and Luke voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Camila was shown amidst an array of those who struggled under pressure at Idol Arena, which also included snippets of Amanda Mograss and Isabella Mercier. She became tense while singing "No Air" by Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown. She was subsequently put in the same group as Isabella, Madaí ChaKell, Meggie Iyer, Athena Jett, Aniston Pate, Bethany Teague, and Spencer Wells, where the judges told them that they were eliminated.

Trivia[]

  • At age 14, Camila was technically underage and therefore ineligible to audition. However, an exception was apparently made, permitting her the right to a full audition and judges' verdicts, thereby rendering her the youngest American Idol contestant to receive a Golden Ticket through legitimate means.[3]
  • Camila is the daughter of Juan Pablo Galavis,[4] who was the star of the eighteenth season of The Bachelor.[2][1]
  • She auditioned in an alternate room setting from the others at the same location, with the known exception of Sophia Ava Marie.
