Robert "Bobby" Bennett, Jr. (born June 4th, 1986) was a contestant on Season 5 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Bobby's audition was originally not televised, but a flashback revealed he auditioned in Denver. He sang "Can't Smile Without You" by Barry Manilow. Although Simon voted "no," Randy and Paula voted "yes," sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Bobby's stay in Hollywood was not shown much, but he did enough to make the final forty-four. At the judges' final deliberation, they told him he did enough to make the Top 24.
Top 24[]
Bobby sang "Copacabana" by Barry Manilow. He was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week, eliminating him from the competition.
