Christian Blake Proehl (born January 12, 1999),[1] known professionally as Blake Proehl, was a contestant on Season 22 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Blake auditioned in Nashville. He sang "In Case You Didn't Know" by Brett Young. It's unknown how the judges voted, but at least two of them voted "yes", sending him to the next round.[2]

Hollywood Round[]

Blake was shown in a montage at Idol Arena, which also included snippets of Roman Collins, Mackenzie Sol, and Justice Murphy. He sang "Yours" by Russell Dickerson. He was subsequently shown in a group at the end, alongside Laela Dasher, Emmy Russell, Reagan Mills, and Isaiah Case, where the judges told both groups that they advanced. For his Showstopper performance, he sang "In My Blood" by Shawn Mendes. At the Final Judgment, the judges told him that he did enough to become a Top 24 semifinalist.

Top 24 (Hawaii Round)[]

Blake was mentored by Tori Kelly in Group 1. He sang "Anyone" by Justin Bieber. He, alongside Hailey Mia, received the lowest number of votes, thus eliminating him from the competition.
