Brennan Hepler (born June 10, 1997),[1][2][3] known professionally as Beane, was a contestant on Season 19 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Beane auditioned in Ojai. He sang "Wait for the Moment" by VULFPECK. Although Luke voted "no", Lionel and Katy voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Beane was shown in the "Rock" category of the Genre Challenge, alongside Casey Bishop, Christian Terry and Althea Grace. He sang "Bennie and the Jets" by Elton John. Later, he was shown in a duet with Kari Erickson called "Dean and Carrie" singing "Watermelon Sugar" by Harry Styles. Afterwards, the judges told them that Beane advanced but Kari did not. During the Showstoppers Round, he sang "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye. Afterwards, during the Final Judgment, the judges told him that he made the Top 24.

Top 24[]

Beane sang "Don't Start Now" by Dua Lipa and "Angels" by Robbie Williams in a duet with Josh Groban. He received enough votes to be considered "safe".

Top 16[]

Beane sang "Searching for a Feeling" by Thirdstory. He did not receive enough votes to become a Top 10 finalist, placing him in the Danger Zone, awaiting the Judges' Wild-Card verdict.

Wild-Card[]

Beane sang "Grow As We Go" by Ben Platt. The judges chose him to be their Wild-Card, making him a Top 12 finalist.

Top 12[]

Beane sang "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes (from Dirty Dancing). He, alongside Ava August and Madison Watkins, received the lowest number of votes for that week, eliminating them from the competition.
