Ayla Marie Brown (born July 28th, 1988) was a contestant on Season 5 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Ayla auditioned in Boston. She sang "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. Although Simon voted "no", Randy and Paula voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Her stay in Hollywood was not shown much, but she did make the final forty-four and sang "Reflection" by Christina Aguilera for her final solo performance. The judges told her during the final deliberation that she made the Top 24.

Ayla sang "Reflection" by Christina Aguilera. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 20[]
Ayla sang "I Want You to Need Me" by Celine Dion. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 16[]
Ayla sang "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. She received the second-lowest number of votes for that week among the girls and was eliminated.

- As well as singing, Ayla played basketball for the Boston College Lady Eagles from 2006 to 2010.
- She is the daughter of former US Senator Scott Brown.
