Ashley Rodriguez (born November 4th, 1987) was a contestant on Season 9 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Ashley auditioned in Boston. She sang "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Although not shown performing, she was shown in a compilation of successful contestants from the first day. She was later shown in a group called "Faith" along with Charity Vance and Michelle Delamor singing "Irreplaceable" by Beyonce. All three members of her group advanced. On her final solo performance, she sang "Battlefield" by Jordin Sparks. After that, she was placed in a holding room with Shelby Dressel, Haeley Vaughn, Maddie Penrose, Jessica Furney, Angela Martin, Didi Benami, Lee DeWyze, Lacey Brown, Aaron Kelly, Joe Munoz, John Park, J.B. Ahfua and Janell Wheeler. It was revealed that everyone in the room had advanced. During the final deliberation, the judges told her she made the Top 24.

Top 24[]

Ashley sang "Happy" by Leona Lewis. She along with Janell Wheeler was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week among the female contestants, eliminating her from the competition.
