Anwar Farid Robinson (born April 21st, 1979) was a contestant on Season 4 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Anwar auditioned in Washington, D.C. He sang "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" by Stevie Wonder. All four judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Anwar was shown in the first part of Hollywood Round singing "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" by Stevie Wonder. The judges told him afterwards that he did enough to advance. In the second round, he was shown in a group with Mario Vazquez and Jamar Jefferson singing "I Can't Help Myself" by Four Tops. Each member of his group advanced following their performance. He was shown on the final day, advancing along with He did enough to progress, along with Jamar, Mario, Matthew Kester, Carrie Underwood, Constantine Maroulis, Judd Harris, David Brown, Janay Castine and Vonzell Solomon. During the judges' final deliberation, it was revealed that he did enough to make the Top 24.
