Antonella Maria Barba (born November 26th, 1986) was a contestant on Season 6 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Antonella auditioned in New York. She sang "Free" by Deniece Williams. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Antonella was shown in a group with Amanda Coluccio and Baylie Brown. She did enough to progress to the next round in Hollywood Week. She also survived the cut immediately afterwards and made it to the final forty. She was called up alongside Marisa Rhodes to see who would take the final slot for the Top 12 girls. She sang "Until You Come Back to Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do)" by Aretha Franklin. It was revealed by the judges that Antonella made it to the Top 24 instead of Marisa.

Antonella sang "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 20[]
Antonella sang "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 16[]
Antonella sang "Put Your Records On" by Corinne Bailey Rae. She was placed in the Bottom 2 that week, eliminating her from the competition.
Controversy[]
Around the time Antonella was on the show, some racy photographs emerged, including one depicting her modeling topless with other women on a beach. Another one of her posing in a wet T-Shirt in a fountain of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. Her friend Amanda stated that the pictures were fake.
On October 13, 2018, Antonella was arrested for heroin distribution. [1]
