Andrew Adrian Garcia (born October 18th, 1985) was a contestant on Season 9 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Andrew auditioned in Los Angeles. He sang "Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5. All four judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

He was shown in the same Group of Eight as Vanessa Wolfe and Tasha Layton. He sang "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul. He advanced along with Tasha. He was later shown in a group called "Three Men and a Baby" along with Katie Stevens and J.B. Ahfua singing "No One" by Alicia Keys. Every member of his group advanced. For his final solo performance, he sang "Chasing Pavements" by Adele. After the judges' verdict, he was placed in the same holding room as Casey James, Tim Urban, Tyler Grady, Todrick Hall, Katie Stevens, Jermaine Sellers, Siobhan Magnus, Crystal Bowersox, Alex Lambert, Michael Lynche, Thaddeus Johnson, Tori Kelly, Lilly Scott and Jeff Goldford. Everyone in his room advanced. At the final deliberation, it was revealed that he made the Top 24.

Andrew sang "Sugar, We're Goin Down" by Fall Out Boy. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Andrew sang "You Give Me Something" by James Morrison. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Top 16[]

Andrew sang "Genie in a Bottle" by Christina Aguilera. He received enough votes to become a Top 12 finalist.

Andrew sang "Gimme Shelter" by The Rolling Stones.
