Amanda Lindsay Overmyer (born October 28th, 1984) was a contestant on Season 7 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Amanda auditioned in Atlanta. She sang "Mean Woman" by Janis Joplin. All three judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Amanda was shown during the first day of Hollywood Week. A week prior to performing, she was in a car accident and received stitches and got a couple of broken ribs. Despite this, she continued on in the competition. She sang "Light My Fire" by The Doors. All three judges voted "yes", giving her a free ride to the final day of Hollywood Week. She had managed to make it to the judges' final fifty, and during the final deliberation, it was revealed that she had made the Top 24.

Amanda sang "Baby, Please Don't Go" by Big Joe Williams. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.

Amanda sang "Carry On, Wayward Son" by Kansas. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
