Amanda Avila (born June 18th, 1981- ) was a contestant on Season 4 of American Idol.

Audition[]

Amanda auditioned in Las Vegas. She sang "I Wanna Love You Forever" by Jessica Simpson. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.

Hollywood Round[]

Amanda was shown in the first part of Hollywood Round singing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. Afterwards, the judges told her she did enough to advance. After that, she was not shown much during Hollywood Week, but she did manage to make it to the final forty-four. During the judges' final deliberation, she was called up along with Jaclyn Crum and it was revealed that she advanced to the Top 24 instead of Jaclyn.

Top 24[]

Amanda sang "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" by Laura Brannigan. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.

Top 20[]

Amanda sang "Turn the Beat Around" by Vicki Sue Robinson. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for another week.

Top 16[]

Amanda sang "River Deep - Mountain High" by Ike & Tina Turner. She did not receive enough votes, and did not make the Top 12.
