Alexis Grace Middleton, known professionally as Alexis Grace (born August 14th, 1987)[1] was a contestant on Season 8 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Alexis auditioned in Louisville. She sang "Dr. Feelgood" by Aretha Franklin. All four judges voted "yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Although not shown performing, she was shown in a montage of contestants who advanced from the first part of Hollywood Week along with Brent Keith, Ann Marie Boskovich and Adam Lambert. Alexis was shown during the final part of Hollywood Round, singing "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood. It was revealed afterwards that she advanced along with Afterwards, it was revealed that he and everyone in his room had advanced, including Ricky Braddy, Michael Sarver, Alex Wagner-Trugman, Stephen Fowler, Kenny Hoffpauer, Jasmine Murray, Nathaniel Marshall, Joanna Pacitti, Arianna Afsar, Casey Carlson and Kai Kalama. At the judges' mansion, it was revealed that she did enough to advance to the Top 36.

Alexis performed in Group 1. She sang "I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)" by Aretha Franklin. She received the highest number of votes for a female contestant, advancing her to the Top 13.

Alexis sang "Dirty Diana" by Michael Jackson. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 11[]
Alexis sang "Jolene" by Dolly Parton. She received the lowest number of votes that week, and the judges chose not to save her, eliminating her from the competition.
