Alexis Cohen was a contestant on Season 7 of American Idol.
Season 7 Audition[]
Alexis auditioned in Philadelphia. She sang "Somebody to Love" by Jefferson Airplane. All three judges voted "no", eliminating her from the competition.
She is notorious for being one of the most angry of Idol rejects, including swearing at Simon and flipping him the bird several times.
Season 8 Audition[]
Alexis auditioned in New York. This time she was a lot calmer and more self-aware of her notoriety. She sang "Like a Prayer" by Madonna. She again did not advance to Hollywood Round.
Death[]
In 2009 at age 25, she was killed by a hit-and-run driver.[1]
