Alaina Whitaker (born February 21, 1991) was a contestant in Season 7 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Alaina auditioned in Dallas. She sang "Stronger" by Faith Hill. All three judges voted "Yes", sending her to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Alaina's stay at Hollywood wasn't televised much, but she did manage to make the judges' final fifty and during the final deliberation, it was revealed that she did enough to make it to the Top 24.
Top 24[]
Alaina sang "More Today Than Yesterday" by The Spiral Starecase. She received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
Top 20[]
Alaina sang "Hopelessly Devoted to You" by Olivia Newton-John. She was placed in the Bottom 2 for that week, eliminating her from the competition.

- She was also in the country group Chasing Dixie and released the single "Gone Song".
- After the group disbanded, Whitaker left the industry and got married. She currently has one child with her husband.
