Adriel Herrera (born December 5, 1983)[1] was a contestant on Season 1 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Adriel auditioned in Dallas. He sang "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain. Paula and at least one more judge voted "yes", sending him through to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
Adriel's time in Hollywood was not televised much, but he did manage to make the Top 30.
Top 30[]
Adriel was in Group 1, and reprised his audition song choice, "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain. He did not receive enough votes to make the Top 10, thus eliminating him from the competition.
Trivia[]
- Adriel sang the same song in the semifinals as EJay Day, who was in Group 3.
- They were one of three pairs of contestants to select the same song during the Season 1 semifinals; the other two were Tamyra Gray & Melanie Sanders from Groups 1 + 3, respectively; and Gil Sinuet & Justin Guarini, both from Group 2.
