Adin Boyer was a contestant on Season 21 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Adin auditioned in Las Vegas. He sang an original song called "Predicament". Luke initially was going to vote "no", but changed his mind and voted "yes". The other two judges also voted "yes", sending him to the next round.
Hollywood Round[]
In the second part of Hollywood Week, due to the stress of finding a duet partner brought on by his autism, he was unable to find anyone. After finding out that there was an odd number of contestants, Adin joined Summer Joy and Jayna Elise to form a trio called "The Trio". They sang "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John. For his final solo performance, he sang "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay. Afterwards, the judges told him that he did not make the Top 24. Despite this, Lionel offered to write a song with him.
Trivia[]
- Adin is the fourth televised contestant on the autism spectrum, after James Durbin, Jackson Snelling and Sam Finelli.
